CAPITOL ALL-STARS 2015
The Capitol All-Stars legislative softball game will be held on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. at Metro Bank Park on City Island in Harrisburg. The Yinzers will be battling for their third straight title under the lights, while the Youse Team knows it has to rally this year!
Teams will play nine innings this year regardless of score; team captains will determine at the beginning of the game whether the game will go to the bottom of the ninth in the event the team up at the bottom of the order is winning. The batting team will be retired after the earlier to occur of three outs or five runs. Team captains will set batting order and have complete discretion on field positions and substitutions.
Capitol All-Stars 2015 player registration opens at 9 a.m. on Wednesday May 6.
The Capitol All-Stars 2015 team will place boxes of Cracker Jacks in Senate mailboxes and on members’ desks in the House chamber the morning of Wednesday May 6. The boxes will have all of the information necessary for players to register.
The first 63 members who register to play by 11:59 p.m. on Friday May 8 are guaranteed a spot on a team.
Capitol All-Stars 2015 registration closes at 11:59 P.M. on Monday June 1, 2015.

TEAM SELECTION DAY
At 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday June 2 in the Media Center at the Capitol, Capitol All-Stars organizers will pull players’ names to populate team rosters of 35 members each.
There are seven players who will automatically play as captains and Hunger Caucus representatives (President Pro Tempore Scarnati, Senate Majority Leader Corman, Senate Minority Leader Costa, Speaker of the House Turzai, House Majority Leader Reed, House Minority Leader Dermody, and House Hunger Caucus Chairman Representative Wheatley).
Members’ names will be selected on June 2 to make up the balance of the rosters.
Unlike in years past, except for the captains, the players will be placed in alternating order on the Yinz and the Youse teams as they are selected on June 2.

Yinz and Youse team captains will hold a press conference in the Main Rotunda at the Capitol at 10 a.m. on Monday June 15, 2015 to effect the final trade of the pre-season. Team captains will “protect” their top five (5) players. The winner of a bat grab wins the right to “draft” two (2) non-protected player from the opposing team. There is no “hands-over” the base of the bat in this bat grab. The last two players selected for the team winning the bat grab will be switched to the other team to ensure that the team rosters are even.
2015 players rostered on the same team as 2014 are encouraged to wear their old jerseys. The design will remain the same. For all other players, jerseys will be ordered over the summer and delivered to their Capitol offices in mid-September. The jerseys are generous donated by New Holland Apparel and are valued at $50.
All players are encouraged to complete the information necessary to create their baseball cards when they register online. Generic cards will be made for new players who do not supply required information prior to June 30.
